I am wanting to try some cast bullets for plinking and range use to keep costs down and my shoulder happy for service rifle shoots. I have been doing some searching here and have found good load data, but I have questions about cast bullets in these calibers that I haven't found answers for yet.

1) Are there any commercial sources for these, sized and lubed? I am not interested in taking up casting my own at this point, so pre-done is my friend.

2) Using light loads of 2400, putting ~180gr bullets out at 1500fps or so, will I have radically different POI than typical full house jacketed bullet loads? I am only concerned out to 200yds max, the service rifle targets are at 100yds only.

3) Any other details required for using cast bullets in these calibers? I know I will need a neck expansion die, any other pieces of extra equipment to look for?

Thanks,
Mark

Yes, poi will be lower, but no big deal. Besides heavier bullets, you can also run light .32 caliber pistol bullets for plinking up to 50 yards with a few grains of bullseye.

I've got a 185 grain cast bullet for .303 and mosin I'm fond of, and will trade for various and sundry, like empty hulls and once fired brass and whatnot if you're interested.
