Cast in 7.62x39

Man i hate this reloading hobby.

Just ordered lee C312-155-2R mold.

Ordered dies last week

Brass cases also inbound. Gas check supply is aluminum and endless since i made a die.

Since this is another .30 cal i will be figuring out how IMR3031 and IMR4895 eill work.

Bullets will be cast from WW and powder coated. Project for after hunting season.

Hi!

would you be willing to make another gas check die for me? PM me if you are willing to do that!

I have 200 brass that i collected over the years doing nothing, and haven't used the sks in years.

Time for some casting, thanks for the reminder Yomomma :)

Are you willing to share the plans so i can find a machinist to make one for me, my first try with the plan i found online was not that good, this is the reason i got a checkmaker...

I had a Mini-30 that I loaded 170 grain flat points, out of a Lyman mould, over some 3031. It worked really well, once I got the loads and lengths worked out.

So out of curiosity, what rifle you shoot it out of and what velocities are you getting out of these casts and how much hotter load can be made using gas checks.

I'm shooting a SKS. No idea what velocity. 3031 pretty much fills the case but is still a mild load. Right now it's plinking ammo. Should be able to get over 2000fps with different powder.
