I have some 130gr hard cast bullets from DRG. I'm just wondering without using gas checks what velocities can I push them to without worrying about leading? They are sized .358

Thanks

If they are hard cast, fit well and have a good lube you should be able to load them to 1200fps or a bit better without trouble.

Personally I don't shoot a lot of really hot stuff (paper doesn't take a lot of killing)
and when I do I'll splurge for jacketed.

I was not planning to load them really hot. I intend to use some SR7625 as I have it already and want to use it up. Starting load is 1070 fps and max is around 1300 fps. I was thinking of loading slightly above min as I want to make sure they are going at least 1000 fps to make a min power factor of 125,000. The load data I believe is for an 8 or 10" barrel so I figured loading slightly higher would keep the velocity high enough in a 4" revolver.
