Does anyone here cast/shoot roundballs through a 12ga shotgun?

I currantly cast the Lee keydrive slug and it works very well and surprisingly accurate from the smoothbore barrel and skeet choke.

But now I'm pondering the idea of casting some roundball to play with..
Should be pretty easy, measure choke diameter then some simple math based on wad petal thickness to decide on the diameter of ball.
So- anyone else playing with these?

Cast a 690 round ball. Put it in the shot cup. You are good to go. You may want to trim the shot cup to just fit the ball or you may want to try adding another ball or some buck shot and make it a buck and ball load.

You might want to consider blue dot powder. It's a great powder for shotgun slugs as I have found out in my 20 gauge, and is very popular, but it is a touch on the dirty side.
Choose those wads carefully to avoid high pressure spikes friend.
