Hi, I'm looking to try my hand at bullet casting in .40 s&w. Does anybody know of any canadian suppliers that might have stuff in stock? Id prefer to buy from a cgn'er but i don't want to wait for it to be ordered. I've found some at a great price from a US supplier but Id rather keep my money here. right now, i'm looking specifically for the lee 6 cavity mold for .40 s&w and handles.
Any info would be appreciated.

its all fine and dandy to say you want to keep it local but cash is king.. and the more u keep in your pocket the better lee factory sales (factorysales.com) has the best prices goin even with a little more shipping they are still much cheaper then any Canadian supplier..

Two years ago, I got my Lee 40 cal 6 cavity mold from msg.drew (cgn member) and his website is http://www.reloaders.ca

You can compare prices with LeeFactorySales in Wisconsin but for small orders, local is better in my experience. Reason is that the USPS freight is expensive and they have a minimum shipping charge, as well as the 5 buck Canada Post brokerage fee and the HST or whatever taxes the government slaps on.

I ordered a LeeLoadAllII and some molds and resizing kits from LFS worth about 200 C$ with shipping...total delivered came out more expensive than if I just bought them in Canada. But if buying presses and all accessories, you probably save some. Every case is different so you have to do the math each time, if cost is important to you.

It's funny, but I haven't been charged brokerage fees or PST/GST or HST for anything from the states within the last few months, even on orders way over $100. $100 used to be the magic limit here in Ontario, but now I have no idea what customs and Canada post are doing. But I like it!
