Hello fellas, I am a amateur re loader, assembling paper cartridges for my flintlocks and what not.

I thought I would show my jimmy rigged set up I used yesterday. Sure I could send for a box of perfect balls......But hey I shoot muskets just sending for balls is almost too easy.

Casting your own rounds just adds to the experience.

The hungry lassie.

Very nice rifle, what is it? Are you doing the re-enact stuff of just for fun? All bullet casting is fun so stay with it. Best of luck.

Looks good. Lyman book on casting is a bible for casters. Pick yourself up one. Just keep equipmen out of the sand and gravel....if you dont clean it out of the molten lead it may score your barrel.

Hi there Big boar, this is a British brown bess smothbore military musket it has been shot alot and adventured with, bought it from dixie a few years ago as a kit for 600 bucks "wish I had the foresight to get 10 more at that price", she has marched for officials in parades, fought in reenactments and marched up and down the square.

She shoots ball, shot and generally makes shooting fun. Lots of adventure waiting for her and I yet.
