This is what I found at princess auto today and its on sale for $4.99.

Got home just try it out and it works wonder without doing anything however, it could use a slight bending to straighten the nose so it will be easier to use instead of the awkward angle.

It is an interesting MacGyver solution to the problem if you cannot get proper castle nut plyers. But 49parallel is right Brownells has them in stock for $10 and we all know we always have other stuff we need to order from Brownells so add them to your next order to save on shipping.

in my humble opinion, tools are like guns.. if they are sold at a discounted price and could fail you at any time they are probably not worth the money. but if you buy it knowing you might only get one use out of it, and want it just in case.. then i guess its pretty easily justified. i have the cheapest wrenches money can buy that i keep in my truck just in case.

the power fist brand was from NAPA but when they changed they sold off the power fist branded products cheep. however not all of it went to PA, one of my jobs at napa was to put the new labels on old inventory.

with that said, they are not mastercraft.

So are you saying mastercraft are quality tools?

I know most can't aford them but I use Snap On tools at work & home .

They are back on sale. Not as cheap at $7.19 but still a good price (Regular 11.99)

Worked well on mine. It's not the best but how often does one take off the castle nut eh?
