Having a hard time finding a castle nut wrench locally so I am going to try and find a suspension wrench that will fit but Google and the CGN search aren't helping me find the right dimension I need.
Any one try one before? if so what is the size I need?
Thanks

most of us have modified a set of needle nose canadian tire vice grips to do that job- it's somewhere in the stickies

I bought the JR carbine combination wrench. It cost me around $30 including shipping. You can order it from their website. Works on the castle nut, forend, and barrel nut.

I know I can get one shipped but I didn't want to spend more on shipping then the tool is worth. All I want to do is remove the stock plate so I can put on an ASAP plate. I have tried a few things but it is super tight and all I have accomplished is slipping off and scratching the threads on by buffer tube.

I read somewhere that a draft tap wrench will work...might be easier to source one of those locally.

Edited to add: yep it works, I just checked.

I got one from Brownells for 10 bucks, and I think 5 bucks for shipping.

They are handy tools to have around, if you get one of the more expensive Armorers wrenches you can take off barrel nuts too.

Just buy yourself a pair of hose pliers from Princess auto for $12. Works like a charm as the tip is an exact fit.
