Yes it's a bobcat,I think the only lynx we have in Nova Scotia are in Cape breton.

Had a lynx travel in front my deer stand a few years ago. I didn't realize until then that they are completely silent when they move, it was less than 50 feet away from me and I never heard anything from it, no twig snaps or leaves rustling just silence.
