Caught a Tavor Fever... "Official Tavor Picture Thread"

The reason for this is because of the joy of 5 round pinned mags. Try loading only 4 rounds into the mag and then insert in on a closed bolt. Chances are that it will seat no problem.
 
Mags I use are AA Beowulf's (alum.), HK416 clones (that came with the Tavor), Lancer AWM's, ATRS 10 rounders (1st gen made by CAA) or IWI polymers (made by CAA).

On another note: did anyone notice the ShootingSight Tav-D trigger (alum. housed) that was on the EE yesterday for like 2 minutes? Looks like it went for $450...

Really? Someone must have snuck it across the border. I would like the new owner to post his opinion on it!
 
I'm in for the Geissele...but from my readings on the other forum it seems the Tav-D is the winner overall. I'd like to see how the 2 stack up against each other. I'll get to try out the Tav-D next month when I'm down south.

I think the only thing I will change/add is a manticore curved butt pad and possibly a Gear Head Works flex swivel.

OK, I'm stumped :) I reversed the base so the mounting nut wouldn't interfere with the charging handle...is that it? I picked this one up off the EE and the previous owner had rotated the front lens cap to flip down instead of up. Maybe that's it? It looks weird but in the short time I've had it it seems less distracting than the flip-up position like the PRO on my AR. I'll try it for a bit.

Or maybe there's something else I'm oblivious to!

Is that nut supposed to be angled like that, shouldn't it be flat?
 
Well I've decided to jump on the band wagon, I should be a Tavor owner by the end of the month, I'm just searching for the best price right now.
 
Crappy pics but picked up the viper pst for my tavor and the vortex 2" offset mount... Still have not fired this thing yet lol
