Had to bump up my credit limit a little but it was totally worth it lol.

I walked in to Prophet River during my lunch break and looking for bullets, and got talking about scopes. After hearing what the dollar is gonna do to pricing I hummed and awwahed about it while playing ping pong at work... yea I said ping pong lol. After work I made the trip back and had a look at a couple. Thought about the ATACR but couldn't justify buying it because shooting needs don't meet the scopes. Settled on a NXS 5.5-22x50mm with the MOAR reticule and also grabbed their last Flatline sniper bubble level. Great bubble level if your looking for one BTW. OH and I'm a lefty so that's why it flips to the right side.

And I have to give a huge thanks to Clay and his team, they were able to give me a great deal and great service!

Here she sits atop my rifle Lima 1-1 (all work done by Terry at Black Art Rifle) in Vortex rings on a 20MOA rail. (crappy cell pic sorry)

Nice looking setup. Prophet River always has good service. Next time I'm in Lloydminster I will challenge you to a game of Ping Pong.
( I will let you serve first lol ).

I've never used the bubble level , but wouldn't it be easier to see if it was behind the elevation turret ? Just curious as I was thinking of getting one .

Much better than the bushy, At max zoom there isn't as much hazing if any with the NF. Reticule are apples and oranges; bushy was FFP G2DMR and NF is SFP MOAR.
I couldn't believe the clarity of the NF, the guys let me look down the street at the store and it was an axing age now matter the parallax setting really lol. When comparing it to a sightron, which has excellent glass, I found that sightrons were a harder to get that parallax set just right for extended ranges. Where as the NF is set up with such a larg "parallax band" if you will, where you don't need to adjust so much. This difference I think can be attributed to the roles of each scope is to fill. My guess is NF is a hunter/tactical scope so the operator wants/needs to take that quick shot. Whereas your Sightron has a big background in target shooting where your focus is goin to be set at primarily one or two distances.

My 2 cents

True about the inflate but what's interesting is that firearms don't really depreciate as much if any as many other products we buy. They hold their value very well which does mean being able to get most on your money back when selling. Now if some of the boys on the EE knew that and didn't ask for retail we'd be in heaven lol

Congrats on the new scope.

And I hate how the weaker Canadian dollar will inflate the already inflated firearm related prices in Canada.
