CC in Canada..what would you carry?

Pretty much all I own is 5" 1911s, so that makes it easy for my decision. As for weight/comfort, I wear a tool belt with a framing hammer, tape, knife, square, pliers, chalkline and 10 lbs of nails in it all day long. A full size pistol (unless its a Walker) doesn't even register on my belt. In a decent iwb holster its easy to carry all day. I'm a fairly big guy, 6'-4" (220 lbs) so the only real issue would be the grip printing through a shirt if it was cc.

If there was legal CCW in Canada...

Glock 22 .40 cal
1911 in .45 ACP
S&W Model 19 .357 Mag snubbie
S&W Model 37 .38 Spl snubbie

Mix or match one or more of the above.... ;) :D

NAA.

Probably never happen but if CC became an option to us law abiding citizens in Canada what would you choose as your everyday carry?
Since I'm not (12.6) my choice would probably be a Glock 36 (with a Canadian bbl:rolleyes:) loaded with 45ACP defensive rounds/low recoil hollow points. Light, compact and stopping power!
Heck, I just may pick one up just because.

If CC became an option then the law (which is a bad law) must become an obsolete...and you could conceal anything small and convenient. "Concealing currently legal Canadian gun” sounds to me same way as “plastic glass” oxymoron...

Open Carry: Colt 1911A1
Concelaed Carry: Walther PPK

would be my choice too...I just will add AKS-74U to accompany Colt for Open Carry :)

Since we are dreaming

uzi-micro2.jpg

Micro UZI
Caliber 9x19mm Luger/Para
Weight, kg 1,5
Length, mm (stock closed / open) 250 / 460
Barrel length, mm 117
Rate of fire, rounds/min 1250
Magazine capacity, rounds 20
Effective range, meters 30

But in reality it would likely be a G17 or G19

Yaaap! If you are going to use it to protect yourself and loved ones you might as well use the best.

No norinco votes... huh.

Exactly...the odd failure in the range is not a big deal but I would demand 100% reliability for a HD gun.

I would even consider a polymer (big step for me...) ;)
