CC in Canada..what would you carry?

A pocket rifle of course.

Snub nose 460 anyone?

360 gr Buffalo Bore @ 1,900 ft/s | 2,860 ft·lbf

(For reference a 308 165 gr 2,700 ft/s | 2,671 ft·lbf)

And of course I won't hit the broad side of a barn with it ;)

IME short guns are the ones most likely to print AIWB. Every gun I've spotted AIWB has been canted outward at the butt, usually on account of a short holster that can't keep it tucked.

There's a reason that most people who appendix a G19 will use a G17 holster.

Use an adjustable holster. Problem solved.

I carry my G19 with one of these:

Lousy tuck factor, unfortunately...they work(ish) and I own one, but that's an emergency carry option only AFAIC.

The gen 2 is better but still does a better tuck on a longer barrel.

I use it with my daily carry. You can run, jump, and do whatever as long as you have the holster set up properly.

It is the only holster that I can hide a Glock 19 with just a t shirt. Almost every holster is unnecessarily bulky, you just need something covering the trigger and support. Positing and the tension from your belt should hold it in place. I have carried for 8+ hours getting in and out of vehicles etc. and never had it move out of position.

Also this one is made by Werkz here in Idaho, it isn't a Vangaurd.

I am not sure what you are referring to when you say "tuck factor".

If you are talking about tucking your shirt, that is possible. If you are talking about holding it close to your body, that is a product of ride height more than anything and that is easily adjusted by how long the paracord is. The lower the gun sits, the tighter it will be to your body.

Yeah, but then the lower you go, the more you compromise the speed with which you can acquire your master grip.

The problem with those is that even when you have the vertical axis of tilt handled by your belt, you have very limited control over the horizontal axis. It's essentially controlled by belt tightness.

That is why everyone I've picked out AIWB has been given away by the butt of their pistol, canted slightly forward of the hip on a horizontal axis.

It's survivable, it's just not ideal. Trigger covers with a string are a pretty niche product that I do use...but it's worth knowing the limitations.

If this came true magically when Turdo is thrown out in four years and a hard core freedom loving Conservative took power and let us CCW; then I'd have to go for a single stack compact 9mm of some sort like a Kahr or Boberg.
Maybe even find an HK P7.

It has never shifted in months of carrying this way, if it's moving around you're not using it correctly.

As Canadians we don't carry aside from at the range, our American cousins need to remember this fact when discussing such things.

After 417 posts I think our Canadian members ought to remember this as well. The RCMP are about to attempt to convince the Liberals to restrict SKS rifles due to a "public safety issue" by misrepresenting the rifle which moves the discussion of concealed or open carry by Canadians in Canada to the other side of the theoretical edge of the Universe. Just saying.

Glock 30S .45 Auto, factory night sights, 10 + 1 capacity loaded with 230 gr. +P JHP in an IWB concealed holster

....and a sub-compact Glock 26/27 in an ankle holster as a back up. Owned a G27 before with factory night sights, had a Fobus ankle holster for shiitsNgiggles.....soooo light and comfy, almost forgot it was even there....really.

Try walking around with a full size 1911 holstered around the house for the day......HEAVY AS SHIIT.....wow, I would carry a 1911 but would be a LightWeight Commander in .45 ACP with night sights, 8 + 1 loaded with UnderWood 230 gr. +P JHP @ 1,000 fps.

My Beretta M9 holstered is a pleasure to carry holstered......light as a feather, all day carry comfort, but never a 9mm sorry. If it was a 9mm it would have to be Federal HST 147 gr. +P @ 1,050 fps.....or UnderWood 147 gr. +P+ @ 1170 fps....Wow sizzling. Factory OEM Beretta 17 round magazine (17+1) of +P 147 grain JHP's is a VERY capable payload to have at your disposal, especially with double mag pouch with 2 spare 17-rounders.

On second thought.....ya, I would carry my Beretta M9 in sleek Blackhawlk leather holster with thumb snap retention strap, accompanied by Safariland Double Mag Pouch with 2 spare mags. Double stack mags are way too fat though. Nothing better than those super slim single stack Wilson Combat 47D 8-round 1911 magazines.

Too bad I wasn't born in some gun loving state in the USA lol, Wyoming, Arizona, Florida, Texas....

Open carry is such a joke....makes easy targets out of 90 lbs women. Carrying a firearm for protection is like having an Ace up your sleeve in a high stakes poker game called life. You never want anybody to know you have it, and hope you don't need to use it....but when your in a jam, it's VERY comforting knowing you have it there to bail you out of a sticky situation ;)
