Would I CC? Yes and no. In general no. In my experience of life the risks of having a firearm on your person at all times ready to go are greater than the risks associated with not having a firearm. However, there are situations where I would have liked the option and given the current behaviour of terrorists and nut jobs there is a case to be made for CC. Having said that with an appropriate level of certification and training it should be an option.

No, I don't think that carring a handgun is a good idea currently where I live, but I hate that this option is not available generally. Some areas are clearly unsafe enough to carry a gun to be able to defend yourself and your family.

And I don't own one, so I'm not championing a personal toy. Proven platform, which apparently shoots quite well. I've not had much luck with well functioning,, accurate semi-auto's peronally; at least in centerfire rounds.
The odds on me needing a DA gun would be quite slim.
A BBQ gun ( US term for look what I brung...); a P-08 or Steyr-hahn, just cause they are different. The Steyr works time after time, just not that accurate. The Luger is a deadly accurate ( no feeding SOB ) show-off gun; nothing more, although it's light with great ergonomics.
Big ole, single stack 1911A1 would be the ticket.
Like the sound of that.

I think I would carry my 1944 Tokarev. Its cheap so if it gets banged around a bit I don't care. Has good velocity. I love the feel in my hands and fits perfect in my shoulder holster!
It is peculiar that I don't, true. Figured that I have enough on the go as far as variations of caliber. 455 Webley gives me the meaty thump if I want to throw big hunks of lead around, and the brass is always in the range bag at the end of the day.

If I could CCW up here in Canada I would use the same guns I had bought to CCW in the States.

Recently, we had a staff member at the hospital where i work held up at knife point. (hospital located in the hood)
The scumbags wanted her purse and initially she resisted, then they pulled a knife.
Security later sent out a memo telling people to "never resist, your life isn't worth resisting, give them what they want".
I am so envious that the States gets to keep their balls and put a gun to those ####ers forehead instead of being forced to be a sheeple.

I would carry my Kimber 9mm with 124 gr XTP over 4.6 gr of Titegroup. Hot? Yes, but you need hot for maximum performance. We can all dream because Concealed or any other type of legal carry will NEVER happen in this country. The government LOVES victims. Matter of fact, the more victims the better............. it justifies MORE Police control over us! Think about it!!!
