CC in Canada..what would you carry?

I thought it was an aliengear actually, looks very similar. I have a tuck 3.0 coming soon

Very nice. These types of holsters are great at distributing the wight. A good belt helps immensely. I use an Indestructibelt by Daltech, it's been pretty awesome so far. I had a belt from 5.11 with kydex reinforcement but eventually it broke. I can't see that happening with the new belt, it is polymer with some kind of fabric weave inside for stiffness.

How did James Bond carry his Walther?

Much better carry options than a PPK and much better ways to carry than a shoulder holster. You have no control over who the muzzle is pointing at and they're unnecessary bulky.

I'd rather not walk around with my gun randomly pointing at family and friends.

You afraid it's just randomly going to go off? ;)

I carried non-concealed with an ATC in remote wilderness areas of BC, Alberta, Northwest Territories for 7 years.

I carried both revolvers and semi-auto's used cross draw, strong side, shoulder, inside waist band etc etc holsters.

Comes down to you carry long enough the gun/holster no matter how heavy or uncomfortable becomes a part of you = you even start to forget its there except you are always prepared to defend yourself.

Guiding, or..??

It really is a damn shame there isn't broader-accepted critera for Canadians to gain access to a Carry Permit. (Especially & Namely) for Rural/Wilderness reason.. plumb ridiculous that there isn't at-least THAT available to Joe-Public-Canada.

If I could personally choose ONE & only ONE portion of the Firearms Act to ammend, it would be to broaden the Wilderness Carry Permit Section. Hands down & number-one section that needs adjustment in my mind... why that was ever restricted from us so hard is beyond ridiculous. In my lifetime I do hope we see that-much ammended in our favor.. it's really by no means too much to ask for, nor beyond 'just' reason.

Probably never happen but if CC became an option to us law abiding citizens in Canada what would you choose as your everyday carry?
Since I'm not (12.6) my choice would probably be a Glock 36 (with a Canadian bbl:rolleyes:) loaded with 45ACP defensive rounds/low recoil hollow points. Light, compact and stopping power!
Heck, I just may pick one up just because.

Prohib endorsements and barrel lengths aren't usually an issue when an ATC is issued, from what I understand. A specific handgun is listed on the ATC and you are authorized to carry that particular gun only.

Firepower Rig from Andrews Leather

These rigs were originally produced for narcs who wished to make a good first impression on their customers.

The shotgun hangs in a quick-release holder, an adjustable length tether attaches to the butt swivel. The offside contains a handgun and ten rounds of 12 Ga. shells.
