CC in Canada..what would you carry?

Probably a TT33 or P38 for the badass value.

Course I'd have to cough up and buy some new mfr ammo for the tt33 as the military FMJ would go clean on through and might cause un intended harm down the line..

edit: goodness now that I read more of this thread this is fantasy land.

In that case I'd like to rectify, if we were allowed open carry, it would be a no 4 MK 1. I dont give a damn about the inconvenience.... ( I'd have to use my cast lead low loaded rnds )

If I was allowed to carry I would open carry at work a 45 acp 1911. Other then work I would open carry a 44 mag when I head into the bush other then that i would carry a small pocket pistol in 9mm carry a gun gets old if you can do it and realistically the biggest threat is working at a retail store the second is bear country/mountain lions there are lots of them in the area were I live. Other then that I wouldn't carry at all it would be very small gun as it would be a last resort if I can't run away that’s my plan A for anything really just run plan b is give them what they want plan c is when everything else fails and that’s fight to the death. I've been robbed at knife point I couldn't do plan A or B since they both failed and I turned to Plan C which was fight to the death with my bare hands which I was taught how to do at a young age (WW2 Grandfather made sure I knew how to fight) and a thumb to the eye of an attacker works really well no fair fighting if someone tries to stab you after they took everything because they weren't happy with what they got.

I rather not hurt anyone but if someone attacks me I will fight to the death to defend my self and I treat any attack on my self as life threatening (unless its a child acting up ect)

I'm more afraid of the animals then people to be honest I give them all there space but sometimes that just doesn’t work and reading animals help and not having a fear of them helps as well but having a 1,200lb grizzly grunting at you after you were shooting a shotgun at some clay targets and it just showed up and started grunting tells you some animals have no fear at all and you have to be very careful around them I was lucky enough to hear him in the bush even when I was shooting and took my hearing protection off to hear him grunt at me to tell me he didn’t like me in his area so I left. I had a 12ga with slugs and buck shot but I decided I rather not shoot a bear and it was time to leave. I’ve been stocked by mountain lions as well they are allot more sneaky about it and very nasty animals its rare to see them because they don’t want to be seen and that’s how they hunt but having 2 of them stock you in 1 life time is to many 1 time when I was little (it was shot by Grandma) and the second time was when I was mountain biking it ran at me while I was going down hill really fast so I went way faster and it didn’t bother to try chasing as I was already flying down the hill. Carrying a gun might not stop a threat ect but it’s always nice to have a choice.

I would simply love to be able to carry. I work a ton in the great outdoors, and have been considering to apply to get a ATC for the time being. It has happened often I've encountered grizzly bears and cougars within 50 yards. Mind you those times I did have a rifle on my back and was lucky enough to not have to use it, but there were close times. :)

I would carry my tacop 1911 if I could carry concealed for sure. :D

Sounds like a dream though... :ar15:

Of what I own, it would be my RIA 1911 in 9mm. She runs great and puts 147gr pills right on top of the front sight at 20 paces.

I'd really be at a loss as to what I'd carry if the prohib laws were gone. At 6' 3", I can conceal damn near anything.

I've posted these pictures in other threads. Siding with the pick of the;) Old Master:),

My choice would be my 4" 29, and Keith holster:D.

I'd carry my Sig P226R in 40 S&W, but if the 12(6) crap was gone, I would change to a Smith & Wesson Revolver 686 in 38/357 magnum, with a 2.5" barrel. I'd also carry a NAA 22LR in an Ankle Holster. I never saw 12(6) coming, or I would have bought some short barreled handguns long before.

The only thing that comes to mind is that if they let us carry I bet we wouldn't be allowed to have it loaded. Just sayin...stupid handgun laws seem to be the norm
