I've been thinking my day of purchases, rifle and handgun, may be coming to a close,
but I 'now' think I may 'need' one more handgun after seeing yours.. I'm assuming it's 45 ACP? I wouldn't mind finding out details as to size, caliber, where you got it and price etc. PM me if you'd rather. Again, very nice piece.
You guys are silly. We have concealed carry in Canada. It has to be "concealed" in an opaque case, locked, and trigger locked on your way to a range, gunsmith, border or secondary residence.

Conceal carry... let's be serious... and let's be realistic over the gun size and holster choice... some examples are:
A 3" thick 4" 629???... C'mon guys...
A 5" 1911 .45 ?... ouch!...
A Glock 19?... Now we are starting to talk!...
And finally Chief Special in a pocket holster?... Now we talk seriously about CCW.

Length is generally not the complicating factor...it is thickness.

Ruger LC9 seems like a good choice. I Like the laser option.

You ever been to a gunstore in states where CCW is legal? Most people are very willing to let you know what they carry and how they conceal it.
Your paranoia is unfounded.
Concealing a full size gun isn't that big of a deal with a proper holster setup:
