CC/Korth - LE/MIL Clarification

Middle men are easier to deal with from the manufacturer's perspective: they only have 1 point of contact, whereas Korth deals with the dozens or hundreds of retailers and all their associated headaches

Exactly.... They don't do #### all for the dealers or the consumers except add costs.
There are dealers big enough here in Canada now that could buy 5000 units from Colt. Korth add no benefit to this process what so ever.

Korth and CC are just in this for the $$. Why the #### does CC even need a distributor like Korth for guns made and sold in Canada? Just adds to the cost, and keeps dealers from setting their own prices.

Could you list the north American firearms companies that are not "just in this for $$"?

We don't know the terms of the contract, but if it's a typical contract, you can't just arbitrarily cancel it without the other party incurring a prejudice for which you will be held liable for.

There are usually mechanisms for cancelling these things built into the language. If pricing wasn't one of them, CC can't do anything about it other than wait for their contract to expire.

Thank you for illustrating the basics to contract sales(I was baiting for this answer ;)). I doubt CC has unintentionally made this "clerical" error. They couldn't care less what their dealer sells their product for. Remember, CC makes its bread and butter with MIL and LE contracts, not civvie sales so this branch of their sales isn't worth the effort to maintain. As you mentioned, the MM is a single point of contact, it keeps CC at arms reach from the consumer which is one level of deniability with regards to pricing.

I think you are smart enough to understand the points being made in this thread, CC nor Korth give a rats ass about civvy sales, even if you are mil.....
Or does your mod status allow you to troll posts/threads at will? Cuz sometimes you post pretty valid points and add some often overlooked technical aspects about the AR15 platform.
But a lot of the time its pretty useless trolling posts....like this one for example.

I emailed Korth about 2 months ago asking about that. They never replied. Leupold pricing in Canada is ridiculous because of Korth. The pricing to dealers is US MSRP.

I got an email back and they seem to acknowledge the Leupold LE/MIL program, they asked for your ID, and a product #, then they would give you a quote?

The answer to Korth for Colt and Leupold is IRUNGUNS.

Mildot it would be interesting to see if the LE/MIL discount even comes close to standard US pricing on say something like a Mark 6 3-18?

You must be "clairvoyant" and I'm going to find out, LOL
