about 9 months ago I could buy any CCI Rimfire cartridge I could think of at my local Canadian Tire.
About how long do you think *In your opinion* before I can do that again?
 
You could find CCI at your local CT 9 months ago!?

I can't even find it at the gun stores... Last time I was in Wanstalls they told me they have no idea when they might be getting more. (and that was 22lr period, not just CCI)

Your lucky to get your hands on anything other than winchester 333/555 bulk packs these days around here, and you end up having to pay way too much. My last brick of 500 rounds was over $45, when the same brick a few months before was only $32. On Friday the 13th, under a full moon, you might be able to find a big box of federal at Walmart, but if you aren't there the day it hits the shelf you'll miss it.

Hey friend... I feel your pain.. I last bought a Remington 500 brick for $50, and the Winchester (222) 333/555 bulk packs seems to work very well in my Ruger 10/22 and I can't find them anywhere now.
I miss the days of having cci velocitors/minimags, and even the crazy stingers on the shelf :)
 
Im happy with whatever is cheap, but my savage mark 2 hates winchester. Both the 333 bulk and wildcat in the 50 boxes, I can't get 10 rounds off without one failing to eject.

I have about 350 rounds of the two just sitting around because I haven't gotten a second 22 to try 'em in yet, bought a 333 box and two 50 boxes, must have had 10 FTE in 50 rounds. (Although I think I need to add a norinco JW-20 to my collection next time CanadaAmmo puts 'em on sale, $125 for a new gun is a damn fine price, especially considering the browning they are copied after is a $700 gun)

Rem, Federal, CCI all work fine, no problems at all, but that winchester stuff is FTE non-stop to the point I stopped shooting my 22 that day because I got tired of pushing a cleaning rod down the barrel to pop out the spent casing.
 
My local wholesale has had cci minimags, stingers, green tag, shorts... For about 3 weeks they've had stock. I picked up 2,500 rounds the first I seen it cause I thpught it was gonna disappear, surprisingly they still have it in stock.

^lol.. As good a guess as any. The OP should look a few threads down at the "22 Ammo Stash" one. If you're wondering where all the rimfire ammo in Canada is, might be a good place to start. :) The first reply in this thread is probably the most accurate~when the US is done gobbling it up at unprecedented levels. If you contact CCI (as I have, a few times now) they'll simply tell you that orders are filled in the sequence they receive them. I'm not sure I believe that, as supply to Canada basically dried-up for months...and I'm relatively sure distributors here never stopped ordering. A bit is trickling-in now from what my "insider" source tells me, but odds n' ends. I got an email last week from my local dealer, saying he had 1/3 CCI offerings I've been after in stock, but to act fast if I want them. Keep combing the EE here, ask around, put-in standing orders with dealers~basically, what I do for powder and various other reloading components. Dreadfully slow to actually get stuff in, but, I get an email every 3-4 weeks.
