I tested CCI .38 shotshells out of a 2.5" S&W model 19 at 30', 20' and finally 10'.
The shotshells contain approximately 1/4 oz of #9 shot (135 pellets)
In this snubby, the practical range for these shotshells for small game is 10' or less.
For snakes it would be less than 10'.
POA was the centre diamond.
Range 30 feet, no shot case or wad/base, 13 pellets.
Range 20', shot case and wad/base both hit target, 17 pellets.
Range 10', shot case and wad/base both hit target, 79 pellets.
