Just like to know what others' experience is with CCI Blazers. I've tried them in 3 .22's (a CZ, a Cooey 75, and a Norinco EM332) and I've found them to be very inaccurate - barely minute of pieplate at 50 yds. Do others have similar results or do some guns like them.

They are not Minimags...:(...but they are pretty clean, and reliable....:)

Then again, you asked about accuracy, and that does vary from rimfire to rimfire....

Blazers

How do they group in your toys? Ive only used them in bolt rifles, so no problems mechanically, but accuracy is horrible. I know they're not a junk bullet, CCI has a good rep, and I know their products are high quality. I have also used them on small game in the past, and found them to be devastating on rabbits (wouldn't use them now, though, unless I find a gun that likes 'em).

More accurate then cci stingers in my bolt action. Wasn't from a bench rest, can't give you group size.
Function well in my semi autos. As good as any CCI. A fine replacement for the mysteriously disappeared mini-mags.

Blazers

Hmmm, just goes to show how finicky .22's can be. What shoots great out of 1 gun is terrible out of another. I know that my son's CZ loves Rem Subsonics, but my Norinco really doesn't like them, but not as bad as the Blazers. Odd how there would be such great vriation between brands and guns. I don't remember ever seeing anything so drastic in centerfires. Some will shoot better than others, but not to that dregree.

For my money , the best all around budget ammo is The American Eagle 38gr HP. I have used this ammo in a wide variety in rifles, Browning Buckmark, CZ FS, Cz Amer, CZ Varm, CZ Sil. Win 69A, CZ 511. I can't think of a rifle I shoot where the accuracy has been what I would call poor.
Now if you are shooting in some wind at 50 yards that could explain some groups opening, but not minute of pie plate.
Any number of shooters don't care for Remington's rimfire selection, but very few have tried their Game Load, a 36gr bullets that does very well in many of my 22's. FS

i personally dont like blazer.......i shoot mini mags, or stinger for hunting.....plinking i use the winchester jacketed bulk pack stuff, accuracy is pretty descent, better than blazer

I just tried out three brands of ordinary plinking type 22 long rifle shells. I have a Henry lever rifle with a 4 power 22 Bushnell scope. I find the rifle just as accurate as any good run of the mill bolt gun.
From a rest at 50 yards I fired 5 shot groups with each brand. I fired Blazers, Wild Cat, and some old Dominion Super Clean I had. The brands had as much as 1½ inches different point of impact, but there wasn't really a thing to choose between any of them. The groups went from just under one inch to about 1¼ inches.
When I summed up all the groups, I couldn't say which brand was most accurate.

I prefer AE 38gr HP for shooting 'critters'

I have found CCI Blaser to be the most accurate/consistant ammo out of all my .22's.

Currently I shoot them in my Savage MKII, My 3 Ruger 10/22's, My 2 Buckmark Rifles, My 3 Buckmark pistols, My S&W 2206 Pistol, My 2 AR's (via a .22 conversion) and occasionally through my Gevarm E-1 (which doesn't like the Blaser ammo)

I have found them to be the most accurate out of my Savage MKII, better than Lapua & Eley match ammo...... Weird eh?

If they had a hollow point I'd use them exclusivly in all my .22's for everything. Something just don't seem right using a solid to shoot gophers..... :D

Cheers!

they aren't bad. what i don't like is the bare lead bullet. if im using them with my 2 year old. i want something that doesn't leave lead on my hands or his. for that i use American Eagle. (copper wash) may not fully solve the problem but its better for me.

The CCI is very good from a price stand point, and a you get what you pay for. when a brick is $20 thats a pretty good deal, (Remington game loads are $19 a brick)

The copper-wash on Remington Golden's is pretty dirty, too....

Retraction

I have to eat my plate of crow. I was out at the range today, and I bought a box of Blasers. They did shoot fairly well (although not my rifle's favourite load). It was the Stingers that I couldn't get to shoot worth a crap. I got the two mixed up.
