I've recently got a bargain on a lot of a few thousands pieces of once-fired 45ACP brass. There are alot of brands mixed : Remington, Federal, Winchester, Aguila, CCI and UnIDed brass (Headstamp : FC 99).
I'm having alot of problems with the CCI and FC99 brass : The FC99 brass seems to have a pocket crimp and I'm having alot of problems to insert a new primer. Is there a cheap way to remove a primer pocket crimp without buying expensive tools (only have a few dozens of those, so a new tool wouldn't be worth it)?
The CCI brass doesn't seem to have any crimp, but seating in the new primer requires alot of force, enough force that the primer flattens a bit. What the hell is wrong with this brass?
Help will be greatly appreciated.
