CCI Mini Mag - BULK PRICING AVAILABLE

Wow. Offer a discount and people complain. Both prices are better than Cabela’s.
No matter what you do you can’t satisfy everyone. They need a little cheese with that whine.
N0 doubt, it would probably be better to simply not mention the small discount for buying 1000 rounds.

If as you say that's a stellar price today there is no need to up sell the bulk discount.

I missed the prices on first read, it looks like this is the best price in Canada by about 20 cents a box if you buy 10 or more.

I actually asked these guys about that.
Said something about UPS charging extra for "dangerous goods" or whatever.
SFRC said the same thing, swear that never used to be a thing. They cover the shipping cost, but the "dangerous goods fee" is the customers responsibility (not covered by their "Free Shipping"). Not complaining as I still got the ammo for the lowest price even, with the fee.

maybe that's why the extra charge for the dangerous goods fee?
better than being told to pay extra after the fact I think?

If I understood you correctly, yes I agree it'd be better to know up front. All stores should do a better job explaining the (new?) shipping cost surrounding dangerous goods.

I was contacted a day or two later and told I had to pay about $35 (it was a bulk order of ammo) because of the dangerous goods fee. It sucks that businesses now have to charge their customers more for things they don't even profit from.

I'll reiterate if that's the new norm with couriers, it really needs to be explained better by the business. If a customer is told Free Shipping, we don't really care about the semantics, we don't want to get charged again after checking out and delaying the shipment.

It should all be calculated at checkout, making it one transaction only.

eh, true

I've had free ammo shipments from other vendors in the last week or so. Asking for money after checking out is a good reason not to check out again.

Curious if any orders were for 1000+ rounds? Maybe there's some sort of quantity threshold or something. Not trying to defend it, but rather understand it. I'm assuming one of them you're referring to is Tenda, their free shipping seems to be the strongest, Bullseye too.

Yes. And yes, that's a good example of vendors who don't charge after the fact. And to be clear, I'm not saying that Flaherty's does. Also not saying that adding shipping affects their status of having the best price either. I don't know. They make you put your PAL in before you can even add to cart. So unless I'm for sure ready to check out, I'm not adding just to check shipping costs.
