I did a very fast search (I'm at work) and didn't see anything useful...

Which would be a more accurate/consistant round, the CCI Mini Mag (36 gr; 1260 fps) or the Winchester Super X Super Speed HP (37 gr; 1330 fps)? These will mostly be used for small varmint/game.

Has anyone here shot the Winchester super speed hp's, and how do they perform?

I'm wondering about these two only because they seem to have similar specs.

:)

I shoot alot of the CCI Mini Mags.
They have always been consistant in accuracy and have no feed problems in my 10/22.Dont know about winchester.I had some good brands from them and some not so good stuff.I dont think i will buy there 22lr again.

I've shot both and there's really not a lot of difference between the two. If one shoots more accurately out of your rifle go with it. My preference for rimfire ammo is CCI, I shoot a lot of Mini-Mags and Stingers, and they always seem to go bang.

You really need to try them and find out how they shoot in your gun. For my CZ452 american, its minimags, but your results could be different. I'd imagine there are some brands that are inherently inaccurate, possibly due to poor manufacturing, but another element of it is simply how your gun likes it. Cheap isn't always bad.

I'd like to try the stingers, but are unsure if they will fit!?

I guess I should try some to find out :p

I use CCI Minimags and Velicitors in all my 22s. They all "like" them and no FTF action that I can recall ever. Clean and accurate. I shoot all the actions. Bolts, pumps, levers and a semi. Bought bricks and stopped looking.

For all my 22s which are mostly different actions, Velociters and Minimags are pretty much interchangeable. Same deal, no FTFs at all.

What about the Quik Shoks? I'd say 95% of my rimmies absolutely love them, and the damage they do is more than sufficient ! :D

2 different creatures - while both are "hyper", one (the stingers) got that way by cutting waayy back on grain/weight.

And?
I was looking at them both today and settled w/ the Stingers cause they were a bit faster out of the muzzle. The Velocitors were better at distance, I believe.

I have not had any luck getting accuracy out of stingers. Yes they make an impressive hole, and have a great range/trajectory, but they are not good at hitting small targets beyond 40 yds. The only use I would consider stingers for is coyotes, and I have other better guns for that.
I would suggest trying Remington Subsonics too, they are cheap and accurate in all of my guns, the hollow point is surprisingly effective. They don't scare away game like HV rounds. Other than that, CCI mini-mags work well for me.
If you want really cheap, try the Winchester Xpert like CT sells in the 500 pack. They're dirty, but accuracy is good, and the HP works very well on gophers.
