CCI regular primers are already harder than most other brands of primers anyway. I know not milspec hard but still significantly harder than, say, Winchester or Federal. I have run about 1000 CCI No. 200 LRP's through my Norc M305 with floating firing pin without a problem. Several times I've pulled a round out of the chamber that I didn't fire (clearing the rifle when told to safety by the RO for example) and twice it had a mark from the firing pin on the rear. Not an indent but obviously a light mark from where it got partially struck when the bolt slammed forward; more of a scuff or scratch really.
So far zero failures to fire and zero slam fires.
Just my $0.02. If you really want no.34 primers I have seen them come up from time to time in the reloading section of the EE. Not sure of anyone specific selling them at the moment though.
