CCI Quiet-22 semi source?

CCI Quiet Semi Auto is substantially quieter (and weaker) than CCI subsonic. The Quiet stuff is only around 835? FPS where the subsonic is 1050. There is a big difference in report. The Quiet semi auto cycles ultra reliably in all 3 ruger 10/22's I own. The regular CCI quiet (not marked semi auto) would jam frequently. The CCI Quiet Semi auto is so weak I had rounds ricocheting off an old burnt iltis Jeep we shoot at within 20 yards. The rounds wouldn't penetrate the sheet metal (I think its thicker than the average car) and all bounced off. I love the CCI Semi auto quiet as its very quiet and good for plinking at the acreage without angering every nabour within a klick. If you want to shoot even quieter do it with a bolt action, I tried these rounds in my ruger precision and the 10/22 side by side and the bolt action was even quieter... not sure if that is for sure due to the action noise or the longer barrel on the precision also helps quiet it?

I've bought regular quiets at Bartons but their .22lr supply varies a lot from shipment to shipment these days. They will push the bolt back just far enough to push the case back against the breech face in my 10/22.

i have a box of CCI quite (not the semi) that ive never used, how inaccurate are they?
im keeping them for raccoons/skunks at night (and being a good neigbour)

are they MOR "Minute of Raccoon" at 50 yrds ?

I wouldn't use CCI quiet on anything bigger than a squirrel tbh, though they are accurate enough for mice.

Have used the original CCi quiets(700fps?) with my Browning SA . It will cycle no problem but patterns like a shotgun at 25 yards. Half the time I can watch the round going down range with my scope.

We have shot hundreds of grouse and rabbits with pellet pistols shooting a 14.3 grain pellet at 400 fps... I think you are just fine shooting small game with the Quiets.

Still says stock in debolt.

HI,
I order a brick from cabelas 1 year ago.
Honestly, I don't really notice a noise difference between the quiet semi and the CCI subsonic. The subsonics are more accurate and cycle better too.
It's very different than the original quiet, wich are very.... quiet. Not that accurate, but, you can't have everything.

I totally agree. The “cci quiet semi” is no quiter than cci subsonic. Normal cci quiet is quiter but wont cycle in a 10/22.
