CCI quiet?

Then you would be better off with Remington Subsonic in my opinion. $3.75 per 50 at Wolverine, I bought 1500 a few months ago and they still show them in stock. They will cycle in all my semi-auto rifles, while the CCI Quiet will not.

How accurate are they.. This would be for pistol so cycling is a secondary issue,
I don't plan to use them in a semi.. I've found CCI is cleaner then most..

I mainly use mine for plinking, I looked, but could not find any of my targets that I kept, so I searched on line and found this comparison of several subsonic rounds including CCI Quiet and Rem SS:

"I then put a new target up at the 25 yard line and loaded up the little five round magazine CCI Quiet subsonic ammo and fired it at target "D" (lower right). Loaded five Fiocchi subsonic and fired at target "C" (lower left). Then again with Remington subsonic and fired at target "B" (upper right). The most expensive ammo (CCI Quiet) turned out to be the most disappointing and the cheapest (Remington subsonic) turned out to be the best."

The above was using a Savage Mark II FV-SR bolt action rifle.

I prefer to use the Rem SS at 25 yards since the poi at 50 yards is a little lower than other standard velocity ammo I use (about 1.5" lower IIRC).

I can normally kill a squirrel at about 40yards with a headshot out of my old marlin bolt no issues with accuracy past that range but it doesnt have the power to kill past 40.

They are exllent rounds, Accuracy is not bad @ 25meters. They don't cycle in a Ruger 10/22 but hey... They make your rimfire rifle sound like a pellet gun..,

I've tried several..the 40 gr target, and the HP small game, and the 29gr target. Just fine for targets out to 25m.most shoot about 4" low at 50m.

Sounds like great prices. Be aware there are several different types of CCI Quiets and they are different price-wise! I use them sometimes in semi's and just cycle the action by hand.

They do exactly what they are intended to do..quietly shoot a .22 round. If you don't expect any more..you should be happy with them.

For those in the know..compare the 700fps CCI with the faster (1050ish) Remington Subsonic (or similar) in terms of noise. to cycle a semi and still have reduced noise would be a bonus.

I find them to be an excellent plinking round with good accuracy out to 25 meters and they cycle flawless in my Norinco JW-20. There is also a segmented HP version which I use for grouse hunting. At around 70 db to the shooters ears IMO no hearing protection is required (sounds like a pellet gun) making them ideal to get young shooters trained.

Love this ammo. Works awesome on my jw 20 and cycles rounds most of the time with the odd fa to feed. At 50-60 yards will not penetrate a pop can though but quiet enough to shoot in your back yard. At 710 fps pretty much an average velocity pellet gun but with more grains!

Great ammo not one miss fire.

I just got another brick!!
The kids can shoot all they want and are not scared by any noise
I shoot em out of my cz and can usually hit bottle caps at 25 yards
It's kind of cool shooting with a high power scope too, you can watch the bullet hit the target

the hollow point segmented are very expensive, the round nose are cheap.

The round travels fast enough to segment at 25 yards and makes entry and exit wounds on big squirrels.

I use them in a 10/22 and cycle the action manually, not a problem.

They sound like a powerful air rifle in a 18 inch barrel.

They are precise in my experience.

Very good round for what it's meant for, every time I see them I buy them.

When I first got a hold of some quiet 22 I thought they were just CB long in a different box... I was wrong. I find them much more accurate than CB, which I find to be very inconstant... When I shoot CB's I get the odd one that goes high or low by quite a bit and can hear the difference in the powder charge.... I haven't experienced this with quiet 22
Also haven't yet tried the fragmenting kind yet, I figure they will be a bit better for pest control around the house

i picked up some of these 'quiet' ones earlier last summer and i was laughing my arse off at the range because i could actually SEE the round arcing in to the target through the scope when i was shooting.
ive never been able to see the round flying before, was a very neat thing to see.
i found they where hitting 1-2" low at 25 but other then that they where good, and that is to be expected with the lower powder load.

they where uncanny quiet with the Chiappa Little Badger.
