Anybody try the 32gr Seg/HP 22lr rounds from CCI in the aftermarket barrels for a 10/22? The CCI website lists them as the same specs as Stingers (1600+ fps). I know that most barrel manufacturers don't recommend stingers in their products.

I believe the thing with stingers in the aftermarket (and factory target) barrels, has to do with the length of the case of the stingers. If the case is the same length, I'd advise against using them, too. It's not anything to do with the speed I don't believe, but I could be wrong, it's happened before.

Somebody have a Stinger round that they could measure for me so I can compare it to the Seg/HP I have been using in my factory barrel?

these have been on the market forever, just used to be called 'quick-shoks' before. They have stinger-length cases. It's a rare gun that can shoot these things accurately, which is a real shame because they DO work exceptionally well on gophers; noticeably better than anything else out there; even stingers.

Really, the only way to know for sure is to try them. My Savage bolt gun shot them exceptionally well - less than 2" at 100 yards - while most other 22's I've tried them with scatter them all over the target; 3"+ at 50 yards

Picked up 50 to try on gophers ASAP. I'll post results if no one beats me to it. That is assuming it shoots worth a damn and I manage to hit some of the little pricks.
