CCI Small Rifle Primers 450 in .223

Hey guys,

Picked up a box of CCI 450 SR primers (apparently magnum???) A while ago. Is using these for an AR load w/ 25.5gr of BL(C)-2 and 55gr Hornady FMJs going to be all right?

they are magnums. You could still use them but I'd back off your powder charge a couple or more grains and work back up as they might increase pressure a bit.

BLC2 is a powder that is recommended to be used with mag primers because it is a ball powder. From my load data, that is not a hot load for 55 grainers with that powder. I use that load for 69 grain bthp's and 450 mag primers.
