CCI Standard Velocity .22LR Ammo

I noticed that this is a led bullet ammo after I purchased it today, not copper coated or anything. I am wondering if these rounds will make my Mossberg 715t dirtier then a plated round or not.

CCI segmented hollow points at 1640fps is where it is at, can chop a gopher in half at 100yds!

All 22lr ammo is just a chunk of lead some is just washed in copper so it doesnt look like lead. There is no jacket on them.

I find the copper washed/plated stuff dirtier than normal lead bullets

No one but he was asking if straight lead was dirtier somehow. Its all the same some is just washed with copper. Its all the same soft lead. SOme ammo has dirtier powder but the actual bullet wont matter.

You'll find that CCI Standard Velocity has a wax coating instead of a copper wash. Both act as lubrication and to keep the barrel from leading.
You'll also find that this wax coating is harder than many high dollar target ammo coatings, which can feel quite greasy. Makes for nicer handling, at least.

One of the cleaner Lead ammo in the market. Don't worry, shoot as much as you can until your gun stops cycling.

I like the cut of your jib sir. MAN...if you knew how hard I was working @ lining-up western gopher opportunities for 2014... Might just pack-up, borrow a buddy's truck in Calgary, and search for myself.
