cci stinger

in a bolt its fine but i had to try them in my 10 22. first couple of mags full i thought wow. great acuaracy no problems then pow. it fired before the bolt compleatly closed, it blew off my extracter. live and learn,

the rule is really simple, never use it on a competition or target chamber, this kind of chamber is a little bit smaller of regular sporter chamber, you can dammage your chamber. Regular rifle have regular chamber and it can handle stingers.

If your mind is to use a more powerful cartige the velocitor have more knock down power of stingers and is a regular size ammunition.

motoman, scott_n, matou and silverback.....
not to sound arrogant but....my question wasn't if i could use them in my 10/22.... i know not to use them in my 10/22 because it has a green mountain bull barrel (.920") on it and my rifle has a bentz chamber (tight chamber).... so the stinger's are a big no, no in my 10/22.... what i was wondering is if there are any TOZ 78 gun owners out there whom have tried stingers, and if they are a tight squeez. do they fit and do they cause jams?

C'est correct mon chum, faits toi en pas....

Rugers website tells you not to use stingers in any of their firearms. This is because the stinger case length is a little longer than standard. I saw this warning about a year ago and its been their policy for years. Personally Ive had stingers through my 10/22 and Mark II with no problems. I no longer use stingers in my firearms for safety reasons.

Just received my Toz 78 yesterday!! After firing a few hundred rounds this morning!! What fun!! No regrets!!

LOL:D

In the french Canadian forum the gun knowledge is really poor, the boys is to much busy with politic to complete her knowledge, is important to save us right to own and use gun but the first objectif of a forum is to cheer us knowledge.

More hunters than shooters here in Quebec from what i've seen at my shooting club...and from what I see with my friends(all hunters),....people shoot 2-3 shot and ''that's it that's all'', mostly just to check if the scope is OK...

Ne soyez pas trop dur sur vous-même ! Rappelez-vous juste que votre anglais sera toujours meilleur que mon du Français!

Don't be too hard on yourself! Just remember that your English will always be better than my of French.....its always better to speak up.

I use them in my Remington Nylon 66 and never had a problem. Not sure if it is not recommended though.
