CCI Stingers - To use in older rimfire rifle?

Just wondering if anyone here thinks it's safe for me to use Stingers in a bolt action Cooey Model 75. I wanted to enter this rifle in a simple rimfire competition and have a few kinds of ammunition to test out to see what it likes. I know the casings are a little longer but the over all product is about the same length as any other .22 LR. I heard some people damaged their firearms with this cartridge, hence the reason for me asking.

I got a old single shot i think its a model 39 and all i shoot is Stigner

I think Stingers can't be used only in rifles with match chambers...

try to chamber one, if the bolt is stiffer than usual, than the casings are too long for your chamber, I know they are too long for my cooey but ok in my 10-22!!

I've taken it apart and stripped and restained/sealed the stock and am going to reblue the buttplate. Once it's all together, prehaps tomorrow evening, I'll dodge to the range and check it out!
