CCI Stnd Vel - Cheap and Accurate

Great thread, stocked up on 5000 rounds of CCI SV before even shooting any in fear of the impending ammo shortage before MTR came, only to find out it doesn't shoot well in my MTR at all, but shoots great in my buddies RPR, I'll give some a whirl in my 10/22's and see what it does

I have about 3500 rounds of CCI SV on hand at the moment, my CZ 455 American seems to like it. I don't shoot matches or anything fancy, just gophers and general plinking. When I did put it on paper it was .5" groups at 50 yards all day long(5 shot groups). Good enough for me. I buy a brick whenever I roll through Canadian Tire if they have it on the shelf. Hopefully, I have enough to get me through till the drought ends.

It shoots pretty well in my 10/22.

Last Spring I started 'cleaning out' my LGS' 22 shelves. I got his last 1K of the CCI-SVC, last 5K+ of Federal Champion 40g RNL-SV and a few other smaller amounts of SV & HV. I've ended up with about 13K, 10K is SV - should last thru the Summer  I've found the Fed Champion ('old style' - NOT the 'new' 36gHV) to be just as accurate as the CCI-SV. Just thinking, in 2019 I had about 2K rounds and thought that was lots, Then the Covid-fear 'down South' changed my mind. And I got 'Sale pricing' on most of this ammo.
My B22 shoots best (~.75") with the Fed, CCI and SK+ (only got ca 400 of that) while my Marlin-60(also ~ .75") and Savage 64 eat the HV I collected.

f all 150 rounds were dumped into a bowel I am confident I could put them all back in the right box.

Wait. Are we talking about bowels or boxes? Either way - that’s quite the kink!

In all seriousness I do love the standard velocity. For target shooting no copper plating is desired and I’ve seen them print 1/4” groups at 50 yards. Love em!
