I am finding that the velocity drop in my 10/22 12.5" Dlask barrel has drastically slowed down with CCI Velocitor compared to Stingers and even bulk high vel ammo. My suspicion is that the velocitors are meant for 16.5" + barrel lengths due to the probably slower burning powder they are using.

CCI Velocitor:
1277
1173
1111

1173
*Advertised - 1435fps, 40gr HP

CCI Stingers:
1547
1528
1555
1598
1563
* Advertised - 1640fps, 32gr HP

CCI Mini Mags:
1196
1221
1224
1176
1163
*Advertised - 1235fps, 40gr RN

Win 555 Bulk:
1287
1277
1274
1307
1254
*Advertised - 1280fps, 36gr HP

Anyone have similar findings? So the 7$ price tag for 50 rounds of the Velocitor is not worth a cent in my SBR 10/22.
ton :)

Have you had any difficulties using CCI ammo in your Dlask barrel??

I seem to recall a thread about CCI ammo not being suitable for barrels that have a tighter chamber (Benz chamber) that Dlask uses. Tried a couple searches but could not find the post. Maybe some one else can find it.

Your results seem to be right along with what I found when I did some testing of my own 12.5 Dlask barreled 10/22 project this past spring.

Some fellas talk about the Velocitor being designed for a longer barrel later on in that post.

No problem with my Dlask barrel and CCI ammo. The fella who sold me the barrel, Fabrice at Fabsports, asked me if I wanted a match or one that eats anything. I went with the "eats anything" and he put this special tool to reduce the tight chamber.
