CCS stock fell apart!

was out at the range today with..... a couple AR's and i had my new CCS build fall apart on me.
was running through a mag and finished it, dropped mag and put new one in and couldnt charge the bolt all the way back, would only go back about 3/4 of the way.
opened up the AR and a metal pin that looked broke dropped out and the buffer was free floating around in the spring.
i seem to recall the bugger was in the back of the bolt?

does anyone have a NEA CCS stock handy that can take a pic of it for me, ideally a couple pics?
particularity the end of the bolt where the buffer tube is.

im pretty sure im missing a small pin somewhere in that general area.
also noticed some pretty impressive chatter marks on the top of my hammer.
im assuming from the failure of the buffer tube/ bolt, but not 100% sure why that would have marked the top of the hammer?

unless the hammer was catching the bolt half way into battery because of the failure of the buffer/bolt?

anyways, if anyone could take a couple close up pics for me and post them i would be in their debt!

was out playing with my AR in the shop, think i have it figured out.
looks like a small pin holds the buffer into the bolt - looks like that pin sheered off and let the buffer go.
caused a lot of scratches and dings but nothing too bad.
ill get ahold of the place i got it from and see if they can help of if i have to get ahold of NEA directly.

It’s as you have it pictured as I recall with the buffer jammed into the end of the bolt carrier. One of the reasons I went with mvb arc instead.

Here are some pics of the buffer area on mine (top/bottom). Just picked mine up a few weeks ago and finally got around to loctiting the extension.. but this is certainly not a promising sign.

Earlier designs had the pins horizontally placed rather than vertically.. wonder if they're holding up better.

The biggest shortcoming of the MVB ARC Stock is its far too short Length Of Pull (LOP). The MAXIM PDW stock does not suffer this problem, exactly replicating the LOP of a standard collapsing buttstock. It also utilizes the exceĺlent JP Silent Captured Spring System in lieu of the standard coil spring and buffer system, eliminating the "twang" while smoothing out the recoil impulse. Having owned both, I would place the Maxim stock well ahead of the MVB ARC in terms of both comfort and performance.

just thought id come in and put some closure to this.

i ended up getting a hold of NEA (BCL) and they asked me to send the bolt to them for a warranty claim.
i filled out the form they sent me and mailed it to them.
5 days later a brand new bolt arrived at my door.

my first time ever using the BCL warranty department.
very impressed.
sounds like they may have ironed out some of the wrinkles people had been reporting.

I have always been treated great by BCL/NEA warranty dept. if there is a problem they will fix it asap.

I've been treated well with DD and CORE15 warranty dept: never had to use it because they dont produce piece of junks firearms

Same thing happened to my CCS stock as well.

A quick call to NEA warranty and I had a brand new BCG with attached buffer in the mail.

Now some will say that if their products weren’t crap, they wouldn’t need such a warranty. I say maybe so, but at the end of the day, it is what it is

The Maxim stock is a fantastically done set-up. The only other PDW stock I've really really liked was the new LMT PDW stock, which gives a much nicer cheek-weld than the stocks like Maxim et al.
