Anyone here shoot Canadian Defensive Pistol? What clubs offer this shooting sport and who offers the course for it? I checked the website and the info is really limited. Is CDP pretty much the same as IDPA? Any info would be great.

CDP is essentially dead.

The creator, David Burke, has put no effort at all in to it for quite a while and left a bunch of people who took the course in the wind with no certificate.

Where are you, someone can point you to an IDPA club or IPSC if no IDPA is available.

The are some clubs shooting their own version of IDPA in southern Ontario , just for Sh!ts and giggles , called ODPL

I am from Bolton. I belong to the Burlington Rifle and Revolver Club but the drive from Bolton is over an hour.I used to make the drive for PPC nights but it became a hassle to drive for over an hour just to shoot for an hour!:bangHead: I wanted to shoot at a club closer to me. I used to shoot IPSC at Target Sports but they moved it to Guelph. A while back I heard that Target Sports hosted a CDP night but I can't find any info supporting that on any websites.
Anyone have the funds or interested in opening a shooting club in Vaughan or Peel region;)

Someday IDPA will be available in NB,....Iwould participate if it were available. There have been numerous attempts to get IDPA going in NB, but CDP was available at the time. I can see IDPA coming tothe maritimes now that CDP is dead.

What about Aurora?
I dunno what their status is.

CDP is up every Thursday night at Target Sports Center,Gormley:)

Do I have to be a member of The Grange/Target Sports to shoot CDP?. I didn't have to be to shoot IPSC but I did have to pay a small fee every time I went.

Georgetown Revolver club shoots Defensive Pistol they have an IDPA certified SO and all of thier shooters are IDPA affiliated. Onagoth is currently looking for people to get IDPA going at EESA.

Where exactly is Georgetown Revolver club located? I will also look into EESA. Georgetown would be closer for me to get to for weekly shoots.
