Do you have to be a member of your club to attend?

Do your events go up on PractiScore?

Hope to make a pilgrimage back to YYC and would be great to tie in a match.

Cheers

You don’t need to be a member but members have the ability to sign up earlier.
We will need COVID restrictions to open up to allow non-members but fingers crossed as we near the dates
I will have the matches set up on Practiscore

At the moment, Covid restrictions prevent us (The CDTSA) from allowing guests at the range, but I hope (Expect?) that to change by the time the shooting season rolls around. But definitely follow up before you come out as a non-member.

Thanks, I should have clarified that in my answer to him. Wishful thinking hahaha

Lol maybe. But we were able to run all of our matches from May on last year with guests allowed, so I don't think it's too far fetched to assume this year will be the same.

Is it possible to sign up to volunteer? I'm new to the sport and plan to shoot CRPS this season, but would love to network and see a proper match first hand.

There isn’t much need for volunteers as these are small matches that all participants help in. But as long as there are no COVID restrictions, you are welcome to come and watch and discuss with the shooters etc. Everyone is very helpful and is usually happy to answer any questions show gear etc

What's a typical shoot like? How many stages, round count, maximum and average distance?

Typical match will be 20-30 shooters
8-10 stages
80-100 rounds, depending on stages
Distances of 300-500m
This year we will be trying to run 2 sets of targets
2 MOA targets for shooters with experience
3.5-4 MOA targets (trying to get some additional steel) for new and beginner shooters
We are also going to try to have some additional gear in each squad for new shooters to use so they can see what equipment is needed and how it works.
Really hoping to help get new shooters into the matches this year
