well i finaly got a spotting scope its a celestron c65 Mini Mak from can tire paid $99 + tax for it anyone have one? what do you guys think of it ? i will be trying it out over the next few days for clarity and focusing ability and as soon as i get to the range next i will report on its ability to see holes at 100 +
 
Not my fave scope - eye relief is a little light for me :)

What were you hoping to use it for? Its not a bad little range scope, although i went with the celestron mini-50 for that instead and it's great for the 200 yard range.

Should be ok for that i think. you might find 300 yards is a little tough if the lighting's not good. FOV will be fairly small so once you get it 'on target' don't touch it :) (you'll see what i mean.)

yeah just playing with it in the back yard looking down the street has shown me all about the not touching it once the focus is set and is on target a slight bump and i am looking 30 feet from the target LOL

For those who like celestron stuff (and they do make some excellent stuff at great prices, as well as some junk you'd want to avoid) here's a great guy to buy from, and he's not above giving cgn discounts :)

www. islandeyepiece.com They actually specialize in astronomy and birdwatching, but he's a great guy to talk to and his advice has always been spot on for me. look under products/ spotting scopes and select celestron.
