Cell Trail Cameras

Picked up a stealth cam deceptor max, so far I’m getting goat photos daily. A lot nicer then having to hike all the way up there to fetch the SD card lol.

The live stream is pretty cool!

I'm finding the micro lte to be the best for reliability and battery life.
My Flex is currently kaput, cell signal strength won't go higher than 25% and seems destined for the landfill.
Switching to tactical shortly.
I agree with your observations. I can run my Link Micros and LM2’s for 8-9 months (reporting once a day) on one set of Lithiums. I also have 3 versions of the Flex and I’ll be lucky to get 5 months of battery life.

For many years I have had good success with Bushnell trail cameras, and they USED TO HAVE a warranty repair depot in Canada. So when I decided to try a cellular trail camera, I bought a Bushnell Cellucore and when they came on sale shortly after that I bought a second one. They are not at all worth the purchase price or the exorbitant monthly bill. They lose contact in places where I have five bars of reception on my cell phone (in an open area at the highest point of land for miles around). Warranty work is now done in the USA (Kansas, IIRC) and they don't pay your shipping. I would NEVER recommend these to anybody! And I would NEVER buy a Spypoint camera after my experience with their regular trail cams! And for that matter, the only Stealth trail cam I had worked OK until it didn't. It is an expensive hobby, running a bunch of trail cams!

I run a lot of Spypoints. The solar micro lte is phenomenal. Even taking hundreds of pictures a day in the coldest darkest months it has never dropped below 52% and stays at 100% in the longer warmer days. The solar Flex has way better pictures and so far the solar panel keeps up but it’s in low traffic area. I’ll see how it does during the winter. I’ve had a few issues with the various Flex series but overall they have been pretty reliable. Never had one outright fail yet, just a few needed software updates to improve battery life and a reset on one.

Another vote for the Reveal Tactacam !! We have 8 !

Pics on demand, whenever you want one, if the reception is good, you'll get instant and updated pics, also takes a once a day/night shot to make sure all is working properly. ..their tech customer service is awesome as well (in the US TOO !!
Couple of guys are switching to the Wise Eyes Cell Cams now...worked awesome last fall. Their all off line right now...will activate the account again in August !

Bushnell is out the door.
Spypoint warranty is chit.

My point being, find a reputable product that will look after you.

Spypoint is in Laa Balle Pravwvance.

Lesson lernt on the single langwage province.

Worth mentioning that for cellular cameras, no one can touch Spypoint on subscription costs. That's what keeps me using Spypoint.

Are there any cell trail cameras that you can get a live feed or live picture from? Or can you ask for a picture to be sent to you?

Thanks
Old post but I'll chime in.

I've got four Reolink LTE Solar cams (Go Plus and Go PT Plus) around my property and come deer season I mount one above my bait sight for live feed. I just order from my cell company a data only tablet sim card and share off my cellular data plan. Never gone over my data limit and I check out my property and bait sight frequently. It can be addictive.

You can control the cameras through the Reolink App for your smart phone and there is a desktop app for you computer.

I've bought them directly from the company or through Amazon. Which ever had the better price. I've had these for over 6 years now and still going strong. Only had to replace one antenna from a porcupine chewing it up.
