Greetings all,

Saw some reports of decent flocks of snow/white-fronted geese as well as pintails around the Calgary area.. the cold is pushing the birds.

Anyone heading to frank lake during the upcoming week?

Not Alberta Central Flyway, but here in Metro Vancouver Region 2-04 have seen some Lesser Canada Geese (40-50) and Snow Geese are early.
They usually show up like clock work a day before or the day of Opening Season.
This was last week, so not sure if the weather is pushing them from the North or ???
Good Hunting All.

My old stopp'in grounds, Frank Lake; I haven't hunted there in about 15 years, or more. I now hunt east and south-east of Frank Lake, between 45 to 75 kms, more birds in those areas.

Used to hunt Frank Lake every night when I lived on High River. Brother gave me a new Winchester 12 gauge for Xmas one year and I went out to Frank lake and there wasn't a drop of water in in. That was in the late 80s before Cargill and such. By luck I moved to East of Wainwright and got lots of hunting in .
