Apologies if this is the wrong place for my question.

I'm looking for a place that offers cerakoting. I know you can do it at home with a kit, but I've got no experience in that, and I'd rather have it done right the first time. I'm in S. Ontario if that makes a difference, obviously it would be nice to do a drop off and pick up rather than the hassle of shipping, but whatever. Bonus points if there is a forum sponsor that does this, so I can keep it all in the family.

We do firearm coating and are in South Western Ontario. We are licensed for Non-Restricted, Restricted, Prohibited & Prohibited Handgun.

Please PM or Email me with details of what you are looking to have done and I will respond with more information.

Regards,

The other thing you have to factor in is weather you sending the gun stripped or willing to pay the finisher to strip and assemble the firearm, and if that person is able to do that with your firearm, I have worked on guns for many, many years but some I still will not touch. just something to think about.

This is very true and why we only give an estimate until we receive the firearm and complete a review of it. only then do we provide a final price and commit to doing the work. We have yet to receive a stripped firearm and have had to strip, prep, coat, reassemble and function test every one we have done to date. It adds time and as they say time is money.

cerakote

just ordered the 24 color kit, gonna be painting and baking like madd when I get home. It's not that hard if you have a compressor and something to bake them in, I use an electric smoker that I cleaned up like new. Used the air dry before but found it scratched fairly easily, the H series is incredible.

I have been using [applying] Cerakote for three years now. Strictly use bake on application.
Extremely durable as compared to most other coatings.
Just follow the instructions to the letter and no issues at all.

Do you prep with aluminum oxide or just beads, I have used both with the same results, they recommend the aluminum oxide but it tears up the cabinet so I try to avoid using it.
