Why this chinese made pistol is not as popular as other chinese pistols?

I'm guessing it's due to lack of exposure, and (to the best of my knowledge) only one distributor doesn't help that.
IMO the CF98 is a much better pistol than the other Chinese pistols I've fired, as well as many of the non-Chinese.

I think price has a lot to do with it as well. Lever originally carried it for $590 but it's now down to $490. Toss in some tax and shipping, and it's in your hand for somewhere around $550 (or more), depending where you live. That's a lot of dough for a Norc, regardless of how good it is.

Considering their 'winner' guns, the 1911 series, goes for around the $350 mark, as does their Sig series, I think shelling an additional 200 bucks for what is essentially a limited run gun in Canada is keeping people at bay.

I'd like one myself, but I expect the Chinese guns to be cheap(er). At nearly $580 to where I live, I've so far passed.

I couldn't tell you. I was unaware that other Norc pistols had lined barrels.
Maybe send Lever Arms an e-mail.

You will find a lot of people will not deal with lever because apparently their customer service sucks. Its kind of funny, I started a thread asking about contact info for lever and it turned into a 10 page thread bashing them.

Never had issues with Lever. They respond to email questions readily. To order, email the order form and call the next day with a CC number. Usually get my stuff within 4 days. Haven't purchase a firearm from them, but have purchased SKS parts and HG mags.

I've never bought anything from Lever but I have emailed them a couple times. They respond to my questions just fine.

I've always had excellent service from Lever Arms which includes an order for a M54-1. Oh, and they have the CF-98 just to keep it in the thread topic.
