CF/DND Pistol, .22 calibre, Colt Police Target: anyone ever seen one?

Do you know what the reasonning behind shutting it down was? Seems like a pretty stupid idea to me :\

Well the main reason I got was that the indoor range was being condemned due to asbestos and lead contamination (valid reason) and that there were no funds being allocated to renovate it (surprise surprise:mad:). I guess the idea of shooting up on the base which is 5 mins away was too much to fathom or maybe coming to an agreement with the FRPC in Kingston. End result was that the range on campus was shut down and the club disbanded. From what I heard from the people that worked in the vault is that they got rid of all the club's firearms that were crown assets and no one knows what came of them.

IMO, it came down to the root of most problems: Money!

I can not comment the revolvers being discussed, however I will add RMC's shoot team at one point had several target pistols including Walther GSPs and perhaps a Pardini SP. I believe these went to the CF CISM Pistol Team after the RMC team folded. Its a shame the team was shut down, as they competed in the Pistol League I shoot in.

One poster mentioned the CF having a S&W 41 - I suspect this was for a CISM shooter.

Great responses! Thanks.

Before my days are done in this outfit, I'd like to get my hands on one. I doubt it'll happen as it seems it's the Army units that have them and I tend to spend my days on chAir Force bases.

If anyone come across one in their unit stores, I'd appreciate it if you could snap a pic or two and post them here. I suspect there's a few of us that would enjoy seeing this revolver.
