CFB Borden Service CQB Clinic 18 July 09

We aint going to war... To play the "game" get something that works for you, and you can re-arrange, depending on the "game"... :)

Make sure you get a "MOLLE" type vest. You can rearrange it as you need to depending on the day :)

God damnit!!

He wore the same shirt as me... :( I wanna go home.....

Not a picture of me.. Just one of the operators...

You know, I bite my tongue a lot but this time I can't. Why can't we refer to guys as "shooters"?? This whole fixation with the term "operators" is really getting to be a bit much - do they "operate" heavy equipment or construction machinery or something?? As far as I'm aware, the only folks with legitimate claim on the term are the early CAG/DevGru operators - it now seems that every overweight, raggedly equipped weekend fantasist in a pair of camo pajamas has to be an "operator"...

I've met a very few true "operators" and I'm fairly certain the uniformed dude in the pic isn't one of them.

OMFG! an Elcan! Your #### is gonna fall off! Get rid of it quickly!
I have one too. Crap. :p

I do find it a little hard to get at the charging handle with the Elcan mount on the gun, but I sort of find it a bit of a pain in the ass without it too.

Maybe I shouldn't have worn the red shirt. I've seen a lot of TV shows and movies where a red shirt ended poorly.

Watched the dad video. I hear laughter when he can't find a mag. Poor guy, being mocked! :O

He had all the mags he needed, except the last mag he needed wasn't loaded...so he was doomed. (look at 1:10 he takes out and empty mag from his pocket)

If you have a hard time with the charging handle then your scope is probably to far to the back, try installing it a bit further just like mine. back of the optic flush with the back of the receiver.

edit.

I keep on watching the video's and and keep laughing at the gas mask/kevlar...

OK... We are all now shooters.

Happy? :)

I don't think that'll be an issue, I say run it as is for a few years, and if there is a significant statistical difference between SMG and Carbine shooters, then subdivide into classes.

I have run courses for mil/leo shooters using both weapon types at the same time without any issue. I have to have the shooters acomplish the same result with what ever weapon they are using, so I keep the scoring and range practices the same for both. If you want info I may be able to help offline.

On the other hand, the last 3 leo constables I had out were using their new C8s.

This was a course I ran a few months age for some mil members and for 3 EPS Tac section members....we engraved the 105mm shell for them to put in their mess.

Free happy face sticker to the first person that can pick me out.....

I agree, I didn't think it would be an issue.:D

Hey Ar180shooter, where's that video your buddy shot at the clinic? I wanna see myself shooting from the targets perspective, I must look mean as hell with my gas mask. :D

I was going over the video he took, and theres not much to work with. What we needed was a better camera, and some better angles, closer in to the shooters, and more camera movement. I don't think theres enough good footage to make a decent vid :(, but we'll know what to do next time.
