CFE223 or H335 for 223 bolt gun?

I have a great varget load for my precision 223 rifle, 69gr smk bullets, but I would like to try a powder that meters better. I have some of the cfe 223 and h335.
My question before I load some of both is does anyone have feed back on which is a better choice for precision work? Thanks.

my best results (on cold day) were with CFE223 (223 rem) about 1/8" from 100meters
but it is temperature sensitive
on hot day same load was 1-1/2" and over-pressure

The decoppering agent isn't really a benefit in the civilian market. You typically don't shoot thousands of rounds between thorough cleanings.

The only place I was glad that they used it as I enjoyed the benefits of it was cleaning C9 and C6's at the end of a live fire exercise.

I found with the CFE 223 you will get to a certain level of copper fouling, and then it just won't get any worse after that. It doesn't totally prevent it.

I use CFE223 to load Barnes bullets. The reduction is fouling is significant. Outside of that it's just another good powder for .223.

Personally, my gun hated CFE 223(3-6" groups) I fought with it for a long time because it was during one of the powder shortages. Finally switched to h335 when I found it and everything tightened right up.

This was a Remington LTR with 53gr vmax and 55 gr Hornaday SP.

I have loaded several different powders for my stevens 200 223rem . H335 ,cfe223 ,varget all with very good results . but my go to powder is benchmark very accurate with 55 gr and 60 gr projectiles . but what I like about it is the very consistent velocity . I have 2 loads that I get less than 15fps spread consistently from fastest to slowest for 5 rounds . both are with a 60 gr bullets from hornady the vmax and the sp . So I guess I am saying don't over look benchmark as a powder . I light drop and trickle all my loads .

1-9 will handle the Sierra 80 match, if the velocity is good. 75 and 77 gr are easy to stabilize in a 1-9.

I'm sitting on two unopened 500 count boxes of Sierra 80 grn match and a third box that's about 2/3 full.

My rifle is a Mossberg with a 1-9 twist rate and frankly, I'm having trouble stabilizing the 80 grn projectiles.

What sort of velocities are you loading to???

I've seriously been considering swapping out the barrel on a Ruger #1 with a 1-12 twist rate so I can shoot all of those excellent Sierra Match bullets.

The thing is, it shoots just about anything up to 62 grains better than I can hold.

Sorry OP, I like BLC-2 in the 223rem. It's an old stand by and I have lots on hand. It's also a very decent powder in a wide range of cartridges, with bores up to 338 diameter.
