CFET WK180 Gen 3 test

How so? The Gen 3 rifles are simply the next iteration of the M+M M10X, no different than the WK-180 Gen3....

I mentioned in the other threads this to, when you look on MM industries website, the M10X+ seem to be advertised/marketed as a premium offering. You can still see them listing their M10X-M (No +), which is what I understand to be referred as "Gen 2" on this forum. The M10X-M has 4150 steel and nitride barrel finish, but on the M10X+ you get cold hammer forged steel with chrome lined barrel finish and I believe the milling is different in the receiver and that handguard design to fix the issues you mentioned in your thread.

That's why I'm saying I don't think the Gen 3 is fitting, it's a misnomer. In the case of Kodiak, you cannot buy anymore a Gen 1 WK180, only Gen 2 and then once the Gen 3 is out, they won't make the Gen 2 no more. But in the case of the M10X, you will still be able to buy "gen 2" M10X-M in addition to the M10X+ that you guys call "Gen 3".

Or maybe I'm not seeing it right and completely missing. But when people were saying you can differentiate Gen 3 from the handguard design, well only the M10X+ has the new handguard, so I understand all M10X-M are Gen 2.

I think that you are only partially correct in your assessment of the various M10X generations. There are 2 trim levels of Gen 3 milled Receiver rifles. There are:

- The M10x-M (Milled Receiver, basic Body Cover/Handguard, button-rifled Barrel) and
- The M10X+ (milled Receiver, enhanced, lightened Body Cover/Handguard, Cold Hammer Forged & Chrome-Lined Barrel)

The Gen 2 Rifles have cast then machined Receivers, NOT milled from bar-stock like the Gen 3. The Gen2 rifles may have Gen 3 interrnals in an effort to improve reliability. Gen 2 rifles have the basic aluminum Body Cover/Handguard.

Gen 1 rifles were milled but terribly unreliable. They may be fitted with Gen 3 internals to improve reliability.

All of the above was clearly explained by Mike Meyer, the owner of M+M Industries, in one of his more recent videos.

Even gen 1 can be fixed by an experienced gunsmith without spending the $700 on parts. Still, this should not have been necessary.

Does "secured the supply" mean that you actually have one or has someone said that they will give you one at some non-specific point in the future? Its not really the same thing and so this thread is more of a tease than a real thing as time marches forward with no update......

Ahhh I appreciate that. Yeah I completely missed that video in my googling, haha.

Welp, I guess the test has come to an abrupt end for the foreseeable future, is the OP able to disclose to us your findings in the testing up until the 6th?

No, because there wasn´t any as the rifle we were supposed to have shipped to us was due to be sent to us in December :(

December 2024 was a dark month for us gunnies.
Thanks for replying and here's hoping we can revisit this thread in the future.
Our hope is that the 2nd OIC combined with the first has led to a huge over reach which will only be made worse by the February OIC and the addition of firearms accessories/components.

The CPC will have to revoke the OICs and handgun freeze.

Ironically if we get the simplified classification system then CFET will have to change it´s direction towards providing reviews on a much broader range of firearms

I have more questions to ask on the matter of overturning OIC's, but a large contingent of IPSC Canada had a meeting yesterday with MP Caulkins who is the shadow minister for hunting and conservation. Mr. Caulkins advised us that due to C-21 passing in the legislature, reversing the May 2020 and December 5 OIC's is not so simple anymore. They have to pass a bill reversing them which, in his own words, "takes at the very least one year".

The only thing we get back immediately with an OIC reversal is handguns.

Yeah i dont think anythings going to change. Gun laws never go back they only move forward. The canadian senate wont put through any changes that reduce firearm legislation. The cpc knows this and thats why they have toned down the issue to end the bans; rather than reverse the bans. The being said semi autos with propietary detachable mags can still be released

Nah it'll change. It just won't be day one. I haven't seen the conservatives "tone down" anything, any time they're asked about the gun bans they've said they will reverse them. The senate will do what it always does, pass what the house sends it.
