Cfsac 2011?

CFSAC is limited to serving members of the CF/RCMP.
There are service conditions matches run by the DCRA, most Provincial Rifle Associations, and some clubs.

talked to the LFWA Coach and i dont think i will be there this year. i quess getting top ten in Canada last year doesnt get you on the team anymore. they must have some serious shooters on the team this year.

i am with 1 svc bn in edmonton(reg force). the LFWA got some new coaches this year from 1 VP(Capt. Hancock). kinda hoping Oakie was gonna coach again because the guys that kicked ass for him get a buy in the next year if you cant make the tryouts. but i talked to the LFWA coach and told him about the trophies, matches, and the invitation to shoot at the AFSAM in USA. but he is willing to stick with the team he has put together from the tryouts. he did say he would keep me in mind if anyone was sent home for disipinary or admin. but i dont think there is much hope in anyone getting sent home.
cause they found some winners last year and i think the only one from last year that came back was Justin Horvath.
hope they do well.

Ask your unit to pay to send you to NSCC anyway. Lots of doors open when you come with (unit) money to pay your own way.

There is always the open of non-ORA matches for practice, with personal rifle and ammunition. There is an OSA SR match in a couple of weeks. I would expect Matches 1-18 over two days.

Issac,
I am also back from last year. If your unit didn't get your name in in time this year you were kind of out of luck. Capt H is not the coach he is the OPI Just like Capt B was last year.He isn't even shooting, the coach shot CFSAC back in 01 and finished 26th. Oakie has a gig teaching cadets marksmanship this summer. We had guys from the SVC Bn, so if I remember correctly you were doing training for Nimegen? Sorry dude you can't have all the good goes.

I retracted my comment as it looks like they had come through the last minute. Kudo to the Brigade.

I must say a big thank you to the ORA - without ORA's generous assistance, the Brigade will not nod its head!

We are fortunate to have a rifle association in Ontario that is helping out whenever it is possible!

Good to hear. Bravo to the ORA and your Bde for stepping up.

Looks like many of the areas have stepped back from involvement this year, definitely the case in the west. Too bad because most of the Bdes do not have the time, money, horsepower, or GAFF to maintain momentum. If the Areas do not push it many Bdes just do not care. Good luck.

The LFWA Res team is just getting started. 39CBG has been trying to get/keep the shooting ball rolling since march. I deal first hand with a few of the speed bumps.
The gap between camp and CFSAC hurt us in years past due to skill fade and people becoming unavailable. So now it is being run as one shooting block.

Keep in mind that there is always next year.
Unless you start burning bridges.

If you start feeling sorry for yourself ask me about my second QM, how AASAM 2011 went and how well I am shooting at Bisley this year.
