CFSC Certificate waiting a month normal ?

Hi everyone just wondering i took the CFSC for non restricted only
and still havent received the certificate its been a month is this normal ?

Im not talking about receivibng my PAL just the certificate from passing the course so i can send in my application for the PAL.
 
Very normal for Ontario > not sure on the Quebec process

Here, its usually a minimum standard of 60 days from course to PAL (30 days CFO, 30 days CFC), many experience 60-90 day turn around.
 
In Nova Scotia we give the paperwork to you when you complete the course .... You can apply for your PAL the same day all you have to do is have the paperwork ready and drop in in the mail on the way home .
 
Yep i'm in week 5 as well. I don't understand how everything is so different province to province. Shouldn't the application process be governed nationally concidering it's done through the RCMP. I don't mind waiting just seems like a waste of money and resources to have a bunch of different steps that can be done at once.
 
I got mine back in 3 weeks, around November last year. If it didnt' arrive by week for I was going to send the application in without it.

Remember you can do that... just attach a sticky note to section G saying "CFO stamped CFSA test to follow.". Follow the directions in the stick thread "shorten PAL approval times"
 
I took both the restricted and non courses on Jan 28th/29th in Brampton. Mailed my forms on Monday the 30th (reg mail). CFO stamped the forms on Feb 27th, and mailed them on Feb 29th. Received March 1. Just shy of 5 wks.

So received my course card today and mailed off my application for the PAL
let the wait begin..:bangHead:
 
Mail your application in and get your 28 day waiting period started while you wait for the test results. Mine took 5 weeks... then, since my application was already submitted, it took 5 days to get my license issued once I faxed the test results in.
 
I just completed my CFSC and immediately after the practical exam my score was calculated and I was given both the course report ('proof of certification') to send in, and a copy for my records. I take it that those who are waiting must be taking their CFSC through a larger volume instructor who can't get to marking the exams right away? Seems like it might be worth taking the course through someone who handles fewer, and smaller, classes if that's the case.
