I was ever so long waiting for my restricted but then again I think they do an indepth background check on that one.
I've found out from my local CFO officer that when purchasing a firearm from a different province ,Transfers are reviewed by the CFO in the jurisdiction in which the buyer resides.

I took both the restricted and non courses on Jan 28th/29th in Brampton. Mailed my forms on Monday the 30th (reg mail). CFO stamped the forms on Feb 27th, and mailed them on Feb 29th. Received March 1. Just shy of 5 wks.

Quick update:
RCMP received my completed forms on March 15th. Showed up online two weeks later (March 29th). Calls for interviews happened on April 25th. Status online as of today still shows as "completed initial processing".

I guess I'm not the only one. Mine was received March 22 and I'm playing the waiting game as well.

Status changed online yesterday to showing that my license has been approved. 60 days from date of receipt in Miramichi.

Someone posted they had to wait for a year and a half to get their PAL/RPAL. I think he mentioned that it turns out they misplaced the application.

Received my RPAL in the mail yesterday, approx 75 days after it showed up online in the RCMP database. Slightly longer than the 45 days they quote on the website.

Just call and get a update they might of not been able to get a hold of your referances as they don't have voice mail ect and are waiting because of that. Its happened to a few people so calling to ask is a good idea

Did RPAL course on January 22. I received my examination report from Ontario CFO on March 11. Was Purolatored to NB and received March 13. I received my RPAL, May 16.
