I have a friend with an almost new CG Summit Sporting, top barrel won't fire. Anyone know if this is a common problem. Second question, I removed the recoil pad attempting to get access to the bolt which holds the stock on. The hole in the stock is plugged with a rubber like material which has a string attached. Tried to pull it out. Very tight, so don't want to break the string. What is that plug?

Might be that the gun has CG's "Kinetic Balancer" installed.
